Privacy Policy

mintormiss.com ("mintormiss", "we") is a card collection tracking tool. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the service, we don't sell your data, and you can delete your account and data at any time.

What we collect

• Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored by AWS Cognito, our authentication provider; we never see or store your password itself).
• Contact preferences. If you opt in to price alerts, we store your alert preferences and, if you choose text alerts, your phone number.
• Collection data. The cards you add, including names, sets, grades, and the prices we fetch for them.
• Guest usage. If you use the app without an account, we associate your cards with an anonymous identifier so the app can enforce guest limits. No email or phone is collected in guest mode.

What we use it for

• Running the service: showing your collection, fetching prices, calculating grading value.
• Sending price alerts you set up, by email or SMS, only to the address or number you provided.
• Operational monitoring (error logs and performance metrics) to keep the service working.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
• We don't send marketing email. The only emails we send are the alerts you set up and account messages such as verification codes.
• We don't share your collection data with other users or third parties, except the service providers below who process it on our behalf.

Service providers

mintormiss runs on Amazon Web Services (hosting, database, email via Amazon SES, SMS via Amazon SNS, authentication via Amazon Cognito). Card pricing data is retrieved from third party pricing APIs using card names and identifiers only; your personal information is never sent to pricing providers.

Unsubscribing and deleting data

• Every alert email includes an unsubscribe link that works without logging in.
• You can change alert preferences or remove your phone number any time in the app.
• To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below and we will remove it.

Cookies and analytics

We use local storage in your browser to keep you logged in and remember app preferences. We may use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics to count visits; we do not use advertising trackers.

Affiliate links

Some links to marketplaces such as eBay are affiliate links. If you make a purchase after clicking one, mintormiss may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This does not affect the prices we display or which listings we link to.

Children

mintormiss is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and the date above.
